One of BBC Introducing Suffolk's 'Ones To Watch', Samfire is an emerging alt-pop talent whose music is darkly ethereal, romantic and bleeds with vulnerable lyrics. She made her major festival debut at Latitude this summer, invited by BBC Introducing's Angelle Joseph. Luring people in with the dark energy of her songs, Samfire's audience spilled out the tent, squeezing over 1000 people into what is usually a 500 cap stage.

Since then she has steadily grown her audience with singles, 'Don't Call Me Baby' and 'I'm With You', both of which received airplay on BBC Radio Suffolk and Norfolk.

Samfire first came to songwriting through production, teaching herself to use Ableton on the Suffolk coast where her family is based. It was here that she coined her solo project, enriching an alt-pop sound with broad influences including many years in orchestras and choirs. Layering her songs with dreamy harmonies and textures, Samfire’s early music was full and melodramatic. This has stilled a little more as the artist matures, allowing space for her lyrics to shine through.
